Back to Chennai

Thursday we took the overnight train from Kerala and slept like babies, lulled by the rocking of the train, under warm blankets in our air conditioned berths. Upon arrival we were met by a driver, freshened up at our friends Izumi and Britt's house, and embarked on a marathon two days of shopping, something we had put off for most of the trip. It is safe to say we are familiar with the inventory of every block-print fabric store and handicraft emporium in the greater Chennai area (and that their inventories are significantly reduced thanks to us).
