Izumi, Britt and Kaia

We need to send a huge thank-you to our friends Izumi, Britt and Kaia, who put us up in Chennai on both ends of our trip, and from whose fabulous seaside apartment this entire blog was uploaded in one mad, mango-juice fueled, air-conditioned weekend wi-fi session. They gave us a place to sleep, served us amazing food (cooked by their wonderful Joyce), advised us on where to shop and how much to pay, and listened to us bicker about whether or not to re-confirm the flight home. Claire loved playing with Kaia, reading to him, and having someone to "babysit." We are looking forward to having them closer by, in Seattle, after their assignment ends.
